March 16-19, 2011
New Orleans, Louisiana, USA
International Association of Teachers of English as a Foreign Language
(IATEFL)
April 15-19, 2011
Brighton, UK
I have never been to a conference outside of Japan, so I’m really interested in heading to KoTESOL or Thai TESOL (I can’t make the others as I have other plans). IATEFL or TESOL would also be nice, but might be outside of my budget for this year 😉
Does anyone have any advice as to which of these would be most interesting?
Hi Adi
Thanks for the comment, and for the link to FLLT 2011. It looks pretty interesting and there's still time to apply.
Maybe I'll see you there!
Hi Ben,
So, which conference will you be going to next year? Thai TESOL Conference or FLLT 2011?
I might be going to FLLT 2011 to present a paper since my abstract has been accepted by the organizing committee. But I need to check a few things first before I can really say whether I’ll be going or not.
Regards,

Hi Ben,
Like yourself, I've never been to conferences outside of Malaysia so I'm unable to answer your question as to which would be the best conference to attend. Having said that, I hope I'll be able to attend either Thai Tesol Conference 2011 (in January 2011) or FLLT 2011 (in March 2011)(www.fllt2011.org). I'm trying to submit an abstract to Thai Tesol but the homepage appears to be non-existent. It's taking such a long time to load. Anyhow, I feel it's good for us to experience going to conferences outside of M'sia/Japan for a change. 🙂
